This evening the Pennsylvania Senate Rules Committee amended, HB 1531, the tax code bill that was passed by the House late last week.  Changes made to the bill include removal of the natural gas severance tax.  The bill now heads to the Senate Floor for a vote as early as Tuesday October 6.
