Pennsylvania is sitting on a large part of what some people are saying could be the biggest natural gas reserve in the United States.

It is known as the Marcellus shale bed and it runs through parts of West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York. The richest area is in southwest Pennsylvania and an estimated 72 percent of this shale bed sits under the Susquehanna River Basin.
