Representative David Levdansky is holding three hearings on his proposed severance tax legislation, HB 2443

The bill imposes a severance tax with 45% going to the General Fund, 22% to the Growing Greener Fund, 20% to a new Local Government Services Fund for counties and municipalities in the drilling areas, 2% in the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Fund, 3% in the Conservation Districts Fund, 2% to the Game Commission, 4% to the Fish and Boat Commission and 2% to the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The hearings will be held on:
• Tuesday, May 11, 7:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia Street State Playhouse, Indiana, PA
• Wednesday, May 12, 1:00 p.m. at Lycoming College, Mary Welch Center, Williamsport, PA
• Thursday, May 13, 2:00 p.m. at Shawnee Inn, Delaware Room, Shawnee on Delaware, PA
