A proposed $6.7 million facility that would house 276 natural gas drilling workers took another step toward reality Thursday night when the Athens Township Board of Supervisors approved a conditional use request for the land that it would be built upon.

It was standing-room only in the township meeting room during the special supervisors' meeting, as many people attended to hear the presentation, and to ask questions about the proposed facility.
