Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell has a 43 percent approval rating in a new poll, and his plan to change the state sales tax is even less popular than he is.
The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute surveyed 1,452 Pennsylvania voters between Feb. 22 and Feb. 28, and found 53 percent opposeRendell's plan to reduce the state's sales tax but cut the number of exempt itemsin his proposed 2010-11 budget.
