Next week and Beyond:
The House Consumer Affairs Committee has scheduled a hearing for September 8th on Representative Schroder’s HB 1817. The bill would authorize PA to join the Mid-Atlantic Area Natural Gas Corridor Compact; providing for the form of the compact; imposing additional powers & duties on the Governor & the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
The House Labor Relations Committee has scheduled a hearing on workplace and safety issues relating to Marcellus Shale operations on September 16th at the Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County.
The Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee will hold a hearing on the impact of Natural Gas Industry on Housing in North Central Pennsylvania on September 28th in the Capitol.
